Introduction to E-Learning Programme

E-Learning Programme:

Every day Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) is vigorously marching forward towards achieving performance excellence in serving Pakistan according to modern challenges and national targets. FBR as an institution of public prosperity wants to transform the possibilities of tomorrow into realities of today. Launching of E-Learning programme of World Customs Organization is another step in this direction. As Pakistan is a member of the family of Customs Union, therefore, in order to, meet the 21st century technical demands and requirements to optimize resource utilization at minimum cost, FBR Pakistan acquired the E-Learning programme from the World Customs Organization to train its human resource as professionals.

Benefits of E-Learning Programme
  • The E-Learning programme enables the expertise availablein different areas of customs operations to evolve into a unified response to the actual needs of the FBR officers without incurring huge costs of mobilization and unnecessary loss of work hours which is experienced when trainees have to leave their workstations for any length of time to acquire training. WCO E-Learning programme takes care of this operational inconvenience by providing the opportunity to the trainee to  complete his training at his own place and pace without interrupting his work schedules and job assignments. The E-Learning programme brings the training into the trainee's office.

  • E-Learning programme enables FBR to adapt the Web facility, to tailor the training platform as well as the exercises, practical case studies and customize the contents of the different training modules, on FBR's own network.

  • The immediate foreseeable benefits of this E-Learning programme include the easy availability and practical possibilityof all these modules, for fresh entrants into customs as well as for officials serving the department in different capacities at various operational levels in diverse territorial jurisdictions.

  • This programme represents yet another milestone in bringingintegration and close coordination in FBR's values and desirable human resource training paths.
